As usual at Climens, there is no final blend to taste during the En Primeur week. Instead, the owner Bérénice Lurton takes visitors around the cellar offering them the chance to taste all of the different lots (representing different pickings) of that vintage. When I visited, the original 17 picking lots had been whittled down to 14. The heart of the blend will come from some highly botrytised, intensely concentrated lots picked 2 - 6 October. The overall impression is that a magnificent wine will emerge from these components, none of which disappoints in isolation. This should be a wine of superb concentration, freshness and purity with a huge maturation potential. Drink from 2015 to 2050.
