Very possibly the greatest wine Suduiraut has ever made. There were 3 pickings in 2009, with 75% of the crop taken in the second ‘trie’ (2nd - 12th October). The wine is hugely concentrated and lusciously sweet, with 160 g/l of residual sugar (120 g/l being more typical). The beautiful and intense palate has pure, crystalline flavours of lemon, honey, fresh cream and barley sugar with a clean, mineral finish where exotic hints of saffron come to the fore. Elegant, intense and very impressive, this wine will be delicious upon release and should mature very well for at least 40 years.
